ON THE COVER
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
This is the time of year when the club
starts to come alive with activity. With
some days that feel like summer is right
around the corner (and unfortunately,
some days that don’t), the golf and
tennis programs will start gearing up
in March and April. This spring and
summer will be unique at the club due
to construction of our new fitness and
indoor tennis facility from April through
Mark Smith
mid- September. As I mentioned in my
Club President
last article, Heath Construction will be
managing our project. Randy DeMario,
Heath president, and the FCCC Board will keep members very
informed via informal information sessions, online articles, on-site
message boards, and blog entries. We also hope to have a bit of
fun by hosting events as we make progress in the construction of
these great facilities. We’ll point out the temporary solutions to
some inevitable inconvenience caused by construction and we’ll do
all we can to mitigate any disruption. Let’s all remember that the
construction this summer is a critical step in the overwhelmingly
member-supported plan to solidify Fort Collins Country Club
as the premier venue for year-round leisure activities in Northern
Colorado.

We are currently going through the permitting process with Larimer
County. As part of that process, letters have been sent to neighbors
of the club to make them aware of our project and to ask for
input due to non-conformity rules. The club is zoned
residential, and therefore must go through this process
before we can get a building permit. We hope to have a
