GOLF OUTINGS MASTERS IN THE MOUNTAINS WEEK EVENTS Wednesday, April 9 DEHAAN GOLF TIP Friday, April 11 Sunday, April 13 Tournament • 9 hole par 3 tournament 5 PM shotgun. Format two person scramble, make your own two man team; golf shop will handicap the event. Entry Fee is $15. • Friday Calcutta at 6 PM in the Allen-Baker Room; Southern Fare dinner buffet; Scotch and Cigars - Great outdoor atmosphere. • Match Play Drawings. Drawings begin when the 9 hole par 3 tournament is over (approximately 7:30 PM). Matches start April 30 in the Grill Room. $10 Entry Fee. Thursday, April 10 • 50% OFF Guest Green Fees if they wear green. • Women’s Tennis Trunk Show 6-8 PM in the Lounge. Featuring JoFit and Nike tennis apparel. K UD S! O What a treat. Great food and service, thanks Jesse! • Saturday and Sunday Tournament Play: Sign up individually and your partner will be a PGA touring Professional that made the cut at the Masters. This is a tee timed event and you can make your own foursome and tee time. Tee sheet will be blocked for 8-10 AM tee times. Green jacket presentation to the winner. Masters themed food offered in the Lounge: Pimento and cheese, turkey, ham, club sandwiches and chips. Entry Fee is $125 which covers prizes, food and favors. Speed Control: Most of the time, before play, golfers rush to the putting green and start working on their 4 to 5 foot putts. However, when playing a new course you must first get a feel for the speed of the greens. Next time, instead of working on those short putts, make some putts on the practice green that will help you control your distance. Often times called the ladder drill, send one putt on its way about 40 feet. Then hit another putt and try to stop the ball 3 feet from the prev
