Insight Asia ASEAN Update Source: Vietnam’s F&B sector – potent performance and potential ‘ V ietnam’s food and drink industry remains one of the most attractive globally, according to BMI Research. Steadily rising household incomes, subdued inflation, favourable and rapidly developing mass grocery retail sector offer multiple opportunities across the industry. Almost half of the Vietnamese population is estimated to be younger than 30, and the maturation of this demographic group means that there are dynamic opportunities in the mass market. Moreover, this demographic group is generally more receptive to Western tastes and innovative products. Double-digit growth is expected to be maintained from 2017 to 2021, averaging 11.3% per annum .
