Atlas Shrugged
In Greek mythology , after the Battle of the Gods , Zeus condemned Atlas to stand at the western edge of the earth and hold the heavens on his shoulders for eternity . The Atlantic Ocean is named after Atlas , and so are the Atlas Mountains that form the backbone of Morocco and are home to 13,671-foot Toubkal , the highest peak in North Africa . The vast Sahara Desert lies to the south of the Atlas Mountains , and the arid , rugged southern slopes and foothills are riddled with ancient trading routes that are perfect for two-wheeled exploration .
