Many of us dream about it , but few do it . Ready for a life-changing adventure , in early 2014 Lisa Morris and Jason Spafford quit their jobs in Nottingham , England , liquidated their assets and shipped two BMW GS motorcycles to South America . Then they spent the next several years riding and exploring , from Ushuaia , Argentina — the southernmost point in South America accessible by road — to Deadhorse , Alaska — its northernmost counterpart in North America , by way of the Pan-American Highway . Near Hyder , Alaska , they camped overlooking Salmon Glacier , which is located just over the border in British Columbia , Canada .
