Audi announces 2016 A5 and S5 four-door coupe are both ready to order after Paris Motor Show reveal
Audi has begun taking orders for its new A5 and S5 Sportback, as well as the latest two-door coupe. Starting from £38,005, it goes on sale just a month after its Paris Motor Show debut.
That base price is a whopping
7,305 more than the cheapest
A5 Coupe, but that's because
pricing for entry level SE
versions of the four-door
have yet to be announced.
For now, that gets you a
187bhp 2.0 TDI diesel in
quattro Sport trim
which spec-for-spec is
exactly the same price
as the Coupe.
An extra £1,570 will get
you a 248bhp 2.0 TFSI
with a seven-speed DSG
autobox. Also available
is a 268bhp 3.0-litre V6
diesel engine (though
prices have yet to be
announced for that),
while S-Line spec starts
from £38,130 with a
non-quattro 187bhp 2.0 TDI.
The 344bhp S5 Sportback
starts from £47,000. Deliveries
on the Sportback version will
commence in February 2017.
The A5 and S5 Sportback range is expected to hit UK showrooms at the start of 2017 after the covers come off at Paris. In Europe, prices kick off from €37,800 (around £31,700).
