As a very young child I was always interested in
fashion and what made people decide on what they
wanted to put on their backs for the world to see. I
have many different theories, one of the main
common ones are that what people wear is a
reflection of their personality and that everyone
dresses differently because everyone has a different
personality. I’ve recently changed my mind and come
to a new theory as to why people dress the way they
dress. My theory is that people’s choices on what they
are wearing are a reflection of major world
happenings such as: wars, revolutions, political
changes and most importantly historic changes. Of
course you can always add your own personal touch
to it but I think that unintentionally we adjust what
we wear to the culture around us and a lot of times I
think that that culture is reflecting big moments
happening in our culture and society. Throughout the
rest of this look-book I hope to show you how history
has affected fashion and what people wear. So if
before reading this you thought fashion was just a
frivolous meaning thing that we just use to protect
our body hopefully this will change your mind to
show you that fashion effects us more than you think
it does.
