Finally the 90s!
A lot of the fashion influences in the 90s were bands like pearl jam and nirvana.
These were the people who made grunge fashion so big. Grunge fashion is a
combination of 70s "hippie" and 80s "punk". For men the main person to look up
to fashion wise was lead singer of the band nirvana Kurt Cobain. He wore baggy
jeans and ripped tees with usually some sort of plaid shirt usually with messy
"bed head" looking hair. Lots of men in the the grunge movement looked like
this. Typical grunge fashion for young women may have included long, straight
hair and flowing, feminine skirts, combined with punk influences like heavy,
black Doc Martens boots and body
piercings.
