History
1968 Erling bought Mauritz Widfross which sold clothes for men and
hunting equipment. Then he changed the name to hennes & mauritz. The
first boutique that opened outside Sweden opened in 1964 in Norway.
After that they opened in Germany, Finland, England, Suomi, France and
many other countries.
The first boutique that opened outside of Europe opened in 2000 in New
York.
