Chloe Marlow is young designer out of central st martins who creates bags and accessories in a new original way. All of Marlow London’s ‘This Bag’ collection is inspired by the disclaimer labels attached to luxury goods. The disclaimer front-feature and unique barcode on the bags are intricately laser-cut. The idea behind doing this is almost to make fun of these luxury brands. When creating the bags in the ‘This Bag’ she thought about how sustainable she could be so each bag is handmade in the UK using the highest quality vegetable tanned calf-leather and metal components are from Italy. The Vegetable-tanned leather is dyed using natural tannins meaning it may scratch easily but this only adds to the look and individuality of the bag.

H&M
H&M are one of the few brands they really take careful consideration when thinking about the conditions of their factory workers. Although H&M do not own any factories of their own they have products made by independent suppliers in developing countries. As a brand they realise that they have a responsibility to make sure workers are treated fairing and properly this is seen as very important for the smooth running of the brand. They also believe everyone should be treated with respect and the suppliers should offer their workers fair wages and good working conditions.
