I am writing about Armani and Zara because I find both of the retailers are different in their own way. Armani is a high-end store, surrounded by other competitive stores, Giorgio Armani is located on Regent Street. Zara is a high street store, although Zara is a competitive retailer, some of their stores in London are not on the main high streets.
Zara and Armani don’t advertise their campaigns to their audience, this may be because they want to save money to put a side and spend on other resources.
Zara communicates with their audience by their window displays, the company said it was enough to advertise for them and they thought it would catch the audience’s eye the best, because they are an excessive money making store they think that promoting their brand doesn’t need to be over the top on social media and television adverts. This is similar with Armani because they don’t promote their brand on tv adverts, however they attend Fashion Shows to promote their new season range for their target audience to see.
Armani is an elegant retailer, this means the way they create ideas would be different to Zara. For example, they attend Fashion Shows, where as Zara doesn’t. Armani promote their brand to high-end people who can afford their products. Their target audience would be affluent adults, this could mean that they are mature, compared to Zara’s target audience. Although, Armani can be seen on young people that have the money to buy their clothing and accessories, if somebody has a successfully paid job they are able to afford it. Zara focuses their brand on younger people who can afford it, most of their clothing and accessories are reasonable prices however some things can be expensive because of the material the
