Handbook
businesspeople. This 21-page field guide is
a one-stop-shop for all things business in
Fargo-Moorhead, from events to resources
to organizations and everything in between.
It's often said that "ignorance is no excuse
in the information age," and frankly, there's
some truth to that.
At a time when you can video chat with
someone in India in real-time or learn
everything you ever wanted to know
about pufferfish at the push of a button,
there's probably no reason you can't find
a professional networking event down the
street if you really want to.
The trite but true fact remains, though: we're
all just really busy.
Whether you're a startup entrepreneur,
a small business owner, or a young
professional, you probably don't have the
time or the inclination to stay up-to-date on
every organization in town that you could
join, every meetup you could attend or every
tax incentive you could take advantage of.
And that's where we come in.
Fargo INC!'s 2016 Business Survival Guide
is the first edition of what we hope will
be a yearly, can't-miss resource for FM
[email protected]
Whether you're a transplant looking for
a crash course on the Fargo business
community or an industry veteran, the
Survival Guide has a little bit of something
for everyone, and we think it will make a
great desktop reference for all of your local
business needs.
While we believe we've compiled an
extensive and useful reference here, it should
be noted that this guide is not intended to be
comprehensive. A guide that includes every
last organization, nonprofit and resource
in Fargo-Moorhead is beyond the current
scope of the Survival Guide, though we'd
love to get there someday.
And while feedback is always appreciated,
this month especially we would love to hear
from our readers about any and everything
else they'd like to see in the guide going
forward so that we may continue to improve
it for years to come.
Enjoy!
