DAY 2 Phnom Penh
On arrival transfer to your hotel . This afternoon embark on a cyclo tour highlighting a unique way to see the city ’ s Khmer architecture .
DAY 3 Phnom Penh
This morning visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the notorious Khmer Rouge Killing Fields ( which may cause distress ). En route back to Phnom Penh , visit PSE ( Pour un Sourire d ’ Enfant ) which supports underprivileged children . During the afternoon , see some of the capital ’ s most impressive sights including the Royal Palace , the Silver Pagoda and National Museum .
DAY 4 Phnom Penh
This morning , enjoy an authentic culinary experience with a cooking class led by a Cambodian chef . Prepare traditional dishes with the chef ’ s assistance and feast on the fruits of your labour for lunch . In the afternoon , experience a unique , quiet backstreet walking tour before unwinding with a foot massage or traditional Khmer massage at La Rose Suites Spa ( both 60 minutes ).
DAY 5 Phnom Penh / Kratie
Early morning departure for Kratie province . En route , visit Cheunk Kok Village for a view of a more rustic side of Cambodian life . Continue to Chhlong , a tiny town with many beautiful French colonial houses and Khmer architecture . On arrival in Kratie , visit Wat Phnom Sambok to see the Buddhist monasteries and take in magnificent views from the hilltop . To end the day , depart on a boat trip to seek out rare freshwater Irrawaddy Dolphins .
DAY 6 Kratie / Preah Vihear
Drive to Stung Treng , a tranquil provincial town on the banks of the San River . Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then cross the Mekong River and continue to Tbeng Meanchey , to visit the Carol Cassidy Silk Weaving Centre .
DAY 7 Preah Vihear / Siem Reap
After a short drive , board a 4x4 vehicle and set off for the fantastic Khmer ancient temples of Preah Vihear on sacred Dong Rek mountain . After lunch , head to Koh Ker Temple whose compound has many temples including Prasat Thom which resembles those of the Mayan civilisation . Continue to Siem Reap and the rest of the day is at leisure .

DAY 8 Siem Reap
Temple exploration gets underway at the Roluos group which date from the 9th and 10th centuries , including the Preah Ko , Bakong and Lolei Temples . After lunch , visit the last capital of the Khmer Empire , Angkor Thom to explore the ancient city before proceeding to the ruins at Bayon , Baphoun , the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King .
DAY 9 Siem Reap
Drive to the graceful 11th century Temple of Shiva and the Banteay Samre Temple . On the way back , swing by the famous Ta Prohm , a beautiful jungle temple that nature appears to have taken over . Drive onwards to a local monastery where you meet the monks and participate in a good luck blessing ceremony .
DAY 10 Siem Reap
Start by visiting the area ’ s most famous temple and UNESCO World Heritage Site , Angkor Wat . After lunch , transfer to Tonle Sap , Southeast Asia ’ s largest freshwater lake . Take a memorable boat cruise to glimpse everyday life of the locals who dwell in floating shacks and whose livelihood depends mainly on fishing .
DAY 11 Siem Reap / Koh Rong or Koh Russey Islands
Transfer to the airport and fly to Sihanoukville . On arrival , meet with your driver who will transfer you to the pier of your selected hotel in either Koh Rong or Koh Russey . The rest of the day is yours to relax and absorb the stunning surroundings .
DAYS 12-13 Koh Rong or Koh Russey Islands
If you ’ re happy to idle the days away then these islands are a simply heavenly place for doing nothing at all . If you fancy some time away from the beach , optional jungle walks , snorkelling , diving and fishing trips are available ( extra expense ).
DAY 14 Koh Rong or Koh Russey Island / Phnom Penh
Return to Sihanoukville and meet with your driver who will transfer you back to Phnom Penh . The remainder of the day is yours to explore or shop as you choose .
DAY 15 Phnom Penh
At leisure before transferring to the airport for your onward journey .
