Thailand- Elephant Hills

Hills
Unmissable elephant encounters and exciting soft adventure- a brilliant experience!
Combining the camp experience of African national parks with the Thai tropical rainforest, Elephant Hills offer Thailand’ s first luxury tented jungle camps and are highly recommended. Two of Elephant Hills camps are tucked away in Khao Sok National Park, a large stretch of lush rainforest in Southern Thailand and prime habitat for numerous mammals, reptiles and birds. The main Elephant Camp sits at the edge of the national park while the Lake Camp floats over emerald-hued Cheow Larn Lake in the heart of Khao Sok. Despite the secluded location, each camp can be reached from numerous beach resorts, so taking a detour into the wilderness couldn’ t be easier. Further soft adventure awaits at Bush Camp Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand where the luxury tents are situated by the picturesque Ping River with stunning views overlooking verdant vegetation and misty mountains. All camps offer a choice of soft adventure tours, which are highlighted across the next few pages. Each features a curated selection of activities, such as jungle walks, longtail boat trips and the internationally recognised Elephant Experience where you ethically interact with these majestic beasts. It’ s a true one-of-a-kind experience! There’ s also ample time to unwind in your tent, take a refreshing dip in the pool( Elephant Camp & Bush Camp) or lake( Lake Camp) and hang out with fellow explorers to share stories of your day’ s adventures. At each camp you’ re accommodated in luxury ensuite glamping tents, made from waterproof canvas and fully equipped with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay, including WiFi, although this is limited at Lake Camp due to the remote setting. Look forward to delicious buffet meals, and at Elephant Camp, evenings also feature cookery demonstrations and dance performances from local schools. See pages 15-17 to discover more about the camps as well as detailed tour itineraries.

Best time to go: Elephant Hills is very much a year round
destination. Whilst December-April is officially considered to be the dry season, Khao Sok’ s rainforest location means that rain may still occur at any time. Most activities are available in all weather. Chiang Mai’ s cool season( December-February) is a popular time to visit and, while the hot season( mid-March to June) and the rainy season( June-November) brings higher humidity and rain, it doesn’ t tend to rain all day and as with Khao Sok, most activities are available in all weather.
MSUSTAINABLE TOURIS
With animal welfare and conservation at the heart of what they do, Elephant Hills has received numerous awards and accolades from worldwide associations such as Global Spirit and National Geographic.
