Before long, Jhamed led them off the road and onto
a dirt track. The horses didn’t miss a beat and Simon was pleased with himself. The fields were large,
bordered by tree-filled hedgerows. Spring was evident
everywhere, from the blossoms in the hedgerows to
the chirping of nesting birds. The fields were newly
ploughed and planted, just bursting into life, or filled
