YVONNE DAVIS-TALLEY Yvonne arrived at Fanwood long before her teaching career, as she is also a Fanwood Alumna. After graduating in 1971, Yvonne served as a Dorm Supervisor from 1976 to 1978. She then went back to school to get her Masters in Deaf Education. From 1980- 1981 Yvonne was a substitute teacher, and in 1981 became a full time Math Teacher in the High School. Yvonne has been in this role ever since. In addition to teaching, Yvonne was an Academic Bowl coach, an activity leader in the After School Program, and Class Advisor. Yvonne has been a dedicated and devoted staff member, and forever will be remembered for the important role she played in shaping the lives of her students, and at Fanwood. She will be truly missed. WILLY TALLEY Willy arrived at Fanwood in September of 1986 and was originally hired as a Dorm Supervisor. He held this role for two years, until becoming a Teaching Assistant in 1988. In 2008 Willy became a Job Coach until 2015, when he then toggled between Teaching Assistant and Teacher roles. Willy wore many hats outside of his permanent position, which included being an Academic Bowl coach for 14 years, Activity Leader in the After School Program, Class Advisor, and Community ASL Instructor. Throughout his time at Fanwood, Willy happily worked with students ranging from the Pre- K program through Senior +. Willy will retire in August of 2019, and is looking forward to traveling. Luckily for Fanwood, he has no intention of cutting any ties with his home for the past 33 years, and looks forward to stopping by every now and then. We wish Willy a wonderful retirement. 10
