Family Caregiver Resource Guide - Santa Fe 2016 | Page 6

Ron J. Vialpando, Director
Dear Readers,
The City of Santa Fe Division of Senior Services provides a comprehensive array of programs to serve our elderly population, those who are 60 years of age and over. The services provided are essential components of a long-term care system through the provision of door-to-door transportation, nutrition services( including both congregate and home delivered meals), in-home support, preventive health, volunteer opportunities, advocacy / outreach, fitness and various activities to interest and challenge your individual talents. Our programs are designed to allow older adults to remain living in their homes as comfortably and independently as possible, and to hopefully avoid and / or minimize expensive institutionalization funded by taxpayers.
We take great pride in offering these essential services to the Santa Fe community and aim to provide a wide range of direct service assistance to improve your quality of life and that of your loved ones. We will continue to evaluate and address our community’ s priorities as identified via our senior program public hearings, surveys, and daily communications submitted from the public.
We look forward to continue to serve and provide the Santa Fe community with high quality services. For more information about available resources and programs please contact us at 505-955-4721 or you can visit the City of Santa Fe website at www. santafenm. gov to view all that the City has to offer for our elders. ptfcg. com
