A Meteoric Start with Shadwell
AUCTAV made a remarkable entry into the Purebred Arabian market through a golden opportunity : the historic Shadwell stock sale in December 2021 . This major inaugural operation saw the company sell 52 lots for a total of € 2,530,000 , with an average price of € 48,653 . Among the standout sales were iconic Tashreefat (€ 310,000 ) and her daughter Ajaayib (€ 275,000 ), setting records alongside Tahira Al Wathba (€ 190,000 ) in 2024 . “ This sale was a real catalyst for our business . It allowed us to establish a strong international network right from the start ,” says Arnaud Angeliaume , AUCTAV ' s CEO . With buyers from 17 countries , the event firmly positioned AUCTAV as a global player in the industry .
Building on this success , AUCTAV structured its business around two annual auctions exclusively for Purebred Arabians , held in June and November . These sales are meticulously coordinated with AFAC and other industry stakeholders to complement rather than compete with existing offerings . “ These dates were designed to add real value and organize transactions at strategic times of the year , meeting the sector ' s specific needs while maximizing the visibility of showcased horses ,” he explains .
The platform has also pioneered " Flash Sales ”, enabling rapid valuation of a horse , often following a notable performance or event . “ Our fully online format eliminates traditional logistical constraints . No transport , no personnel mobilization — everything is optimized for seamless international transactions ,” Angeliaume adds .
This year ’ s autumn sale once again underscored AUCTAV ’ s ability to draw global buyers , highlighted by a historic record price for a foal sold at € 100,000 . Presented by Franck Lance , Œil de Vere was acquired by Haras du Saubouas on behalf of Helal Al Alawi .

THEY CALL ME KING , AND I LOVE IT
My name is Hearterthon Cheetah and my list of riders is long . Equally long is the list of my victories , over 200 in total . Just as extensive is the list of falls , sideways jumps or sudden drops that I ’ ve inflicted on my many jockeys . With me , it ' s a jump into the past with riders who have gone on to become top jockeys or solid amateurs . I ' m rooted in the present , as I still race , and I look to the future , as my antics are bound to spark new talent .
I was born in England and sold to Cécile Madamet in 2013 at a public auction . I was presented as promising and gentle under the saddle . In the margin , Cécile ' s notes read : " spirited , moves well ." 800 pounds and a Channel crossing later , I arrived at Senonnes . Adrien and Agathe Fouassier chose me from a field , as their son Tao had just been born and they wanted to embark on the pony adventure . Adrien saw me gallop and immediately sealed the deal . However , my breaking-in proved difficult ; as is often the case with stars , I like to be elusive . I enjoy being pampered and groomed , but once ridden , I test my jockey . I prefer to throw them off balance a bit to test their seat ; I put my nose very low and sometimes add a little swerve to finish the job . This way , I sort them out — only the truly motivated stay on . For those who pass , I give my all , putting my heart into the race . I love winning , I love dominating . Often , after crossing the finish line , words fail them because I leave them so impressed .
To each their own superlatives
For Augustin Madamet , who paved the way for the others by training me on the flat and over jumps , it was around 30 victories and words like quality , elegance , and longevity that come to mind . For Simon Planque , just one ride and one win in cross-country in front of the Pompadour crowd : funny , unique and the best . For Louis Bouton , it meant 6 wins , including 3 French Champion titles in hurdles and flat races ; I was a boost and an opportunity . For Pierre Remoué , who crossed the finish line first with me 89 times , with a French Champion title in all three disciplines in one year , words are hard to come by - our partnership laid the foundation for his young but very promising career .
As for the present , Tao Fouassier won with me 11 times this year alone and Philippine Madamet , currently
