ENGLISH TEXTS has quickly propelled his career forward . “ I started strong . I ’ m very proud of the stable . I ’ m still waiting for my first Group victory , but I know it ’ s coming very soon ,” shares Tim Donworth ( 30 years old ) who is no longer called Timothy by anyone .
As a reflection of his “ high ambitions ,” he is moving into Carlos Laffon-Parias ’ stable this month . “ I bought the stable : it ’ s a big project . A legendary place that has seen several Derby and Arc winners . I ’ m being careful not to grow too quickly , but I hope this will change my career . It ’ s a real honor to be in these boxes . We ’ ll spend the holidays in our new stable .”
The former pupil of Nicolas Clément and Jean-Claude Rouget will see his daily life expand from 46 to 64 boxes , accommodating around 55 horses , with a turnover of about twenty new horses .
Nicolas Clément : just mentioning his name makes him feel very grateful . “ A magnificent boss . He ’ s almost like family to me . He introduced me to everyone , showed me Chantilly , opened the doors of France to me .” It is also thanks to him that he was able to push through the doors of Jean-Claude Rouget ’ s yards in Pau , Cagnes and Deauville . “ I took it step by step , learning with my eyes wide open within his large operation , and I came back from Pau with something very precious-my girlfriend .”
Love on one side , and the fight on the other . “ In this job , you need to be a warrior . Overall , there is a lot of respect among everyone . But the competition means you can lose battles , but not the war .” At the moment , Tim ’ s only obsession is to “ surpass ” his 31 wins from last year . “ I ’ m not going to give up until December 31 st .” After that , he has several dreams , such as “ winning the Prix de Diane and especially the
Prix Morny . To build a classic stable , I have the right staff and beautiful silks . I ’ m crossing my fingers .”
Strength “ I ’ m a hard worker , seven days a week , from the first to the fourth lot every morning . I live with my horses . I love it .”
Weakness : “ This total commitment might also be a flaw . They say you need to learn to take a step back sometimes to recharge your batteries .”

ELISABETH ALLAIRE
BACK TO THE ARTICLE
Often compared to a racetrack , her magnificent training center is a model of its kind . “ Two incredible track surfaces , lots of white rails , a round track , a straight ... I feel good here , at peace .” Two years after settling in , the results are already very impressive .
“ A pretty good year ,” confirms Elisabeth Allaire . Behind the spearhead Kamaro d ’ Huez , a top AQPS with four Group victories already to his name , her small stable of around thirty horses is approaching twenty wins and half a million in earnings . At 31 this month , she is already a source of pride for her parents , Philippe and Gitte , the “ royal ” trotting couple based just a stone ’ s throw from her home , between Caen and Lisieux , in the famous Ready Cash yard with his sons .
With such a pedigree , going back to her grandfather Pierre-Désiré , her childhood was immersed in this motto : “ Horse , horse .” Elisabeth stood out in juniors in the CSI competitions . And despite her father ’ s ban , believing she was “ too small and too light ” and ordering her to go towards “ galloping ,” she still had a small career in trotting with 60 wins in 599 races .
Thoroughbreds eventually caught up with her . While she believes she “ learned mainly from her father ,” a living encyclopedia who knows “ everything about everything ,” including in galloping , Elisabeth Allaire has worked with Alain de Royer-Dupré , “ the top NH trainer in Ireland ( note : Willie Mullins ),” and had responsibilities under François Nicolle . After that , alongside her partner Théo Chevillard , she started to fly on her own .
Hardworking , she is always the first and last at the stable . “ I ’ m on horseback every morning , I go to the races , I do a bit of everything in the stables , the boxes , I drive the truck ...” From her ancestors , she inherited their strong character . “ Maybe not as much as my father , but people often say that when I ’ m angry , I have his dark look . And if I have something to say , I ’ ll say it . Luckily , I also have the Danish side of my mother ,” she smiles . “ My mother is everything to my father and me . She ’ s the boss .”
Engagements , for example , are her responsibility . “ If an owner insists on seeing their horse in Paris , I remind them that I ’ m the one in charge . The goal is to find the best engagements , not to overclass .” Her principles say a lot about her : “ Fall to always rise again . Never give up , keep your head held high .”
Deep inside her , there ’ s a XXL dream : “ Winning the Grand Steeplechase , although winning very nice races with a good flat horse would also delight me .”
