CHRISTMAS Cheers to a Meaningful Christmas “Christmas decor at Jamaica Pegasus” By Indi Mclymont Lafayette, Family and Faith Magazine Writer C HRISTMAS IS ALL ABOUT CELEBRATING THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST AND A BIG PART OF THAT celebration is reflected in the amazing lights displays and superlative decor. By far, one of the most beautiful christmas decors we saw throughout the holidays was unfurled at the lovely lobby of The Jamaica Pegasus. What an eye for colour coordination and detail! It was blue and beautiful! Outside of the lovely décor however, Family and Faith Magazine takes a moment to reflect on some of the interesting things people did to add more fun and meaning to the season. 1. 2 3 Surprise presents – some persons opened presents in the morning on Christmas but added an extra element of the unexpected and saved a gift for after lunch or after dinner. So when everyone thought the gift giving was over there came round two. This extra gift was more appreciated because it was unexpected. . Hide and seek present giving – those who had children under 12 had fun making them search for their gifts. Parents hid presents under chairs, in the closet, in cupboards and got the kids to look for them. If they found someone else’s gift they had to keep it a secret and leave it there. Once everyone found their gift they gathered and shared their gift hunting adventures. . For those who liked being on the road during the Christmas holidays, some took the family for a ride looking at Christmas lights. There were some homes in Kingston, Clarendon and Manchester for example that were noted for their Christmas lights displays. Some homeowners didn’t mind families taking pictures in front of their houses and sharing them with family and friends via social media. 4.
