A Jewel Among Resorts
At the end of our stay , our family was refreshed , satiated , rested , happy but also little sad to leave . The hammocks , swings and abundance of lounge areas that characterize the lush relaxing property had charmed us into feeling like we found another home away from home . We also really enjoyed how hassle free everything was . As part of the vision for the design of the property , Scott explained that they decided to do away with some of the known annoyances that guests tend to have , such as having to wear wristbands and secure towel cards . Guests are instead wristband free and get to take as many beach towels as they desire without a card . Incredibly , apart from the Japanese restaurant , guests also don ’ t need to make a reservation to dine at the resort ' s restaurants . We had a culinary blast eating at the Platinum and Japanese restaurants and the buffet provided excellent wide-ranging selections every night . Of course the outdoor Italian styled pizzeria was my absolute favourite spot .
Warm and Friendly Staff
Of course our stay would not have been so joyous without super friendly down-to-earth staff who were always ready with a smile . A big Family and Faith Magazine shout-out , God ’ s richest blessings and " nuff respec " to all the wonderful staff-friends who helped to make our vacation unforgettable – our personal chaperone and Resort Sales Manager Kareen , the ever-smiling Delmark from reception , our easygoing butler Miguel , our restaurant pals , Nevereen , Nadia and Jack and who could forget “ Delicious ” from the Japanese restaurant ! From Kids Camp , Aunty Tony ( aka Hip-notik ), Aunty Stacy-Ann , Aunty Lorna , Aunty Tashema ( Pizza Chef ), and Choicelyn bearing fruit and champagne from the nostalgic horse and carriage ride ! Plus friendly aestheticians , Simone , Kasandra and Assistant Spa Manager Nicole who made the mommy and daughter pedicure all the more special and of course the General Manager Scott , one of the warmest , funniest guys we ’ ve met . Jewel Resort doesn ’ t have a catchy slogan , but if we were to give them one , it would be “ Jewel , an experience to treasure .” SAH
