Habibi ’ s is dedicated to creating dips , spreads and sauces that can add value to your everyday life and cooking . We created this amazing Toum - Garlic Sauce in 5 flavors to elevate any dish you ’ re preparing . It can be used as a dip , sauce , glaze , to marinate , as a dressing , in salads , pasta , on pizza and whatever else you are making for breakfast , lunch , dinner and snack time .
One of our favorite dishes is this Mango and Peach Shrimp Ceviche . This might feel like a Summer or hot weather kind of a dish , but it can be served any time of the year ! We love serving it up whenever we have friends over .
INGREDIENTS
100 - 150g cooked shrimp
1 cup ripe Mango & Peach sliced into cubes *
1 / 2 cup cilantro , chopped 1 / 4 cup green onion , chopped
1 / 4 cup red onion or shallots , finely chopped
1 / 4 cup sweet peppers - any color , finely chopped 1 / 4 cup lemon juice
1 / 4 cup lime juice
green or red jalapeno ( add to your liking )
drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
pinch of sea salt , pinch of black pepper , pinch of cumin
Habibi ’ s Toum Garlic Sauce in Original flavor
a little bit of pineapple or peach juice
* You can use canned instead of fresh fruit . Keep the juice from the cans to add into the mixture in the end . Pineapple can be used as a substitute as well !
DIRECTIONS
1 . Chop the mango , peach ( or pineapple if substituting ), cilantro , green onion , red onion ( or shallots ), and sweet peppers into bite-sized pieces . Finely chop the jalapenos , adjusting the amount based on your heat preference .
2 . In a large mixing bowl , combine the cooked shrimp , chopped mango and peach ( or pineapple ), cilantro , green onion , red onion , sweet peppers , and jalapenos .
3 . Pour in the lemon and lime juice along with the reserved juice from the canned fruit ( peach or pineapple ).
4 . Drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the mixture , then add sea salt , black pepper , and cumin to taste .
5 . Add a dollop of Habibi ’ s Toum Garlic sauce ( Original flavor ) to the ceviche and mix well .
6 . Allow the ceviche to chill for at least 30 minutes . Serve cold for the best flavor . Enjoy !
