Sagre ( festivals ) are traditional events where we come together as a community to socialize , discover and enjoy seasonal Italian food and traditions . Each month we present a sagra featuring a different Italian food theme . Presented by Villa Charities , with funding by the Government of Canada ’ s New Horizon ’ s for Seniors Program .

Storie , Strane Storie ( Stories , Strange Stories ) A 5-week intensive theatre program & experimental theatrical performance
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of famous Italian writer and dramatist Dino Buzzati , this 5-week intensive theatre program invites individuals of any age , nationality and experience level to come together , connecting through the Italian language and dramatic theatre for a unique social experience featuring ‘ strange ’ spaces and ‘ strange ’ stories .
Buzzati ’ s work will be read , analyzed , interpreted and transformed through hands-on and group activities such as games , vocal experiments and creative exercises . Through this program , participants will create , rehearse and perform an experimental theatrical performance for a live audience . Italian theatre actor and director , Gianluca Barbadori , will lead the intensive theatre course and direct the final theatre performance .
Everyone is welcome . No previous theatrical experience required . Open to professionals or amateurs , and no knowledge of the Italian language is necessary .
Presented by Villa Charities and Istituto Italiano di Cultura of Toronto , in partnership with Ponte tra Culture Society .
