Installing , maintaining , repairing and moving complex machinery and equipment is all in a day ’ s work for Lucky Dog Construction , Inc .
With the devastating impact that COVID-19 has had on so many small businesses this year , Steve and Amy are thankful that although they were hard hit during the first few weeks , they were able to get their projects up and running again fairly quickly once construction was deemed an essential service .
Lucky Dog Construction , Inc . has built a stellar reputation by taking the time to understand and prioritize their customers ’ needs and concerns and becoming , as Amy puts it , “ a true extension of our customers , making it clear through our actions that we have their best interests at heart and are there for them from start to finish . When you take that seriously , in combination with doing the right thing , word travels , and you gain a good reputation .” Steve and Amy ’ s company now enjoys a level of customer loyalty that gives them true staying power ; as an example , although one of their customers has changed plant managers four times , they ’ ve remained with Lucky Dog Construction throughout because each exiting manager has , based on their own experience , highly recommended Lucky Dog Construction .
Now , in addition to their private sector work , Lucky Dog Construction is positioning themselves to venture into public works projects . Two and half years ago , Steve completed the Turner Construction School of Management , through which he met a member of Merriwether & Williams Insurance Services ’ staff , who introduced him to Alameda County ’ s Contractor
