Last year , Doug ’ s department held JOC outreach events before releasing a JOC solicitation , which yielded five contractors currently authorized for a total contract capacity of up to $ 9 Million . Each of the contractors has been issued close to $ 1 Million out of the $ 9 Million contract total , as they

are about half-way through the contract . Although COVID-19 has presented some challenges and delays , the Building Maintenance Department has worked diligently to put protocols in place to help contractors be compliant with Alameda County ’ s Public Health Orders while completing the remaining $ 4 Million of contract work .
