As for motivate students to join us, I would explain the unique experience one can gain along with a welcoming atmosphere. Indeed, Ksprout has grown so much and so fast, where we have multiple branches in China and a new branch at UIUC. So, to be honest, it is hard to manage when the team are spread across the world, even in different time zone. To deal with this, we created head managers of each branch as well as in China and U. S., which definitely facilitate the communication between the branches.
4. Does the club have plans to carry out other related activities?
For Ksprout club at SLAS, I do not have much information about any new activities since we last spoken at the end of September. Yet, I am sure that we will continue carry on our donation box event, and we will work on visiting the young children who we donated to. Plus, our main goal for this year is to make difference to our local community, which specifically we have planned to read our stories to children at our school and others.
5. What are the requirements to join the club and maintain member enthusiasm? There isn’ t many requirements to join, but we just want people who intend to have already some experience in writing, drawing, designing, or marketing. Students can just message Apple Mun( Grade 11), who is now one of our main leaders of Ksprout at SLAS about their intention to join. As I said beforehand, I desire to create a cozy and family-like environment as I believe such atmosphere will continue to fuel member’ s enthusiasm in participating.
6. What advice would you give to someone who’ s interested in becoming a club leader? My advice is to be aware of the effort and work you will need to put in. Club leader requires a lot and a lot of communication and coordination between the departments and to other branches. It is important to understand that club leader is not an easy job that has barely any work to do. Still, me and other managers will be here to support and assist you to be successful in a club leader, so don’ t worry too much:)
