Learn about spiders, snakes and other " spooky " animals that make the prairie their home. We ' ll search the trails for signs of all these animals and learn about how they are getting ready for winter. Participants must be accompanies by an adult, please register each guardian / child separately.

Discover which plants can be found blooming in the fall on the prairie. Walk the trails with one of our prairie experts and discover all the diversity the site has to offer.

Explore the trails and learn about all the history, restoration and identification of prairie plants and birds. Learn why the site is so important for animals of all types as they get ready for the winter months.

Enjoy some fun on the farm with your preschooler while they gain communication, social-emotional, and motor skills. Play groups will include songs, stories, movement, arts, crafts and free play time, along with a visit to a different animal or place on the farm each day. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Drop-ins are welcome for a $ 10 / day fee.

Visit our milking parlor to participate in a milking demonstration and explore the many ways people have been using dairy throughout time. Participants will learn how milk is taken from the cow to the table and make their own ice cream to enjoy.
