OAKtober Tree Trot with Robyn Flakne Join us on a special guided trail walk led by Village of Glenview’ s Arborist and Natural Resource Manager, Robyn Flakne, as she focuses on the native trees of Illinois growing at The Grove, especially our mighty oaks. Please meet on the Interpretive Center porch at 9:15 am.

Robert’ s Birthday Bash Celebrate the 190th birthday of this famed naturalist and explorer who grew up right here at The Grove. Interpretive Center exhibit open from 8 am-4:30 pm.

Fall Jamboree
Celebrate the sights, sounds, and tastes of autumn at our cozy campfire jamboree! Sing along to kid-friendly folk tunes, try your hand at simple instruments, and enjoy baked apples and warm apple cider under the crisp fall sky.

Tour the Native American Indian Long House to learn how Indigenous peoples of the region lived, gathered, and built their homes in harmony with the land. Then, settle in around a glowing campfire for warmth, shared tales, and fresh popcorn under the stars in this familyfriendly cultural experience.
