MESSAGE FROM THE PARK BOARD PRESIDENT
WILLIAM CASEY

Dear friends and neighbors,
As the air turns crisp and the leaves begin to change, fall at the Glenview Park District brings new opportunities to connect with your community, stay active and create memories with those you love.
From pumpkin smashing and wagon rides to glowing disco balls on the ice, this season’ s events are packed with fall favorites for all ages. Kick off the fun with Tomato Fest at Historic Wagner Farm on September 6— an afternoon celebrating one of the season’ s most delicious garden harvests with games, tastings and family activities. As October approaches, spooky season is in full swing! The Boo-tique Costume Exchange( October 4), Frozen Frights( October 17), Halloween Skelebration presented by Graber & Gyllenhaal Orthodontics( October 24) and A Family Halloween( October 26) offer festive fun for the whole family. Don’ t miss our signature Fall Folk Fest at The Grove on October 5, where local history and autumn charm come together in one unforgettable day.
Looking for ways to stay active as the weather cools? We offer everything from flag football leagues and figure skating lessons to fitness classes and ninja warrior courses for kids. There’ s something for everyone to explore inside the guide.
Start your holiday shopping early at the East Wing Senior Center’ s Candy Cane Holiday Bazaar, November 12 and 13, and the Grove Heritage Association’ s Holiday Market at Redfield Estate, November 13-16. You’ re sure to leave with special gifts for friends and family, and even a treat or two for yourself!
Close out the season with gratitude and a little fun at events like the Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot free throw contest( November 22) and Turkey Skate. And don’ t miss your chance to sponsor or decorate a tree for the Festival of Trees presented by LightKeeper Pro on December 6!
