DRIVER’ S EDUCATION WITH SAFEWAY
Community Education partners with Safeway Driving School to offer teen driver education, providing both classroom and behind-the-wheel training for $ 419. The 30-hour classroom course, conducted via Zoom, prepares students for the Minnesota permit test and requires active participation with a video and audioequipped device. Behind-the-wheel training includes six hours of private driving lessons with licensed instructors. Students can begin the course at age 14½ but must be 15 to take the permit test. Parent involvement is essential, with a state-required 50 hours of supervised practice. Flexible make-up options and online scheduling are available.
