King was enlisted in the North Dakota National Guard from 2016 – 2021 as military police. During his military career, he worked with the counterdrug program, assisting the state of North Dakota as an intelligence analyst. In 2016, King was activated to assist with the Dakota Access Pipeline protests. In 2021, he was also activated for a security mission in support of the January 6 seige on the U. S. Capitol in Washington, D. C., to assist with the Presidential Inauguration.
Since being sworn in as an attorney in 2024, he has helped guide clients through a variety of criminal legal matters including both misdemeanors and felonies. He has assisted clients through a variety of charges, including drug charges, domestic violence crimes, sex crimes, DUIs, and many others.
ERIK KING
Erik King is an associate attorney at King Law in Bismarck. His primary areas of practice include criminal defense and personal injury. He earned his bachelor’ s degree from Minot State University in criminal justice and went on to attend the University of North Dakota School of Law, graduating in the spring of 2022.
In his personal time, he enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife, Kayla, and their two children. He also enjoys watching football and going to Minnesota Vikings games with his family.
