Job Description
Certified Nurse Aides help patients with bathing , feeding , grooming , and a variety of other specialized tasks as well as these daily living requirements .
Training
Certified Nurse Aide training with Enfield Adult Education takes about eight weeks . Training includes coursework in basic nursing skills as well as hands-on clinical training at local facilities . The cost of this program is $ 1,100 ( includes textbook ).
Certification
Certified Nurse Aides who take eight-week course at Enfield Adult Education , must pass a written exam and have completed a minimum of one hundred hours of practical training to sit for state exam . Passers then become state-certified .
Mod-II at ACC : Certified Patient Care Technician
Through a partnership with Asnuntuck Community College , Enfield Adult Education CNA graduates may continue their medical career training by joining the second module of the ACC Certified Patient Care Technician program .
