Debbie Rose has been a Respiratory Therapist for twenty (20) years, and currently serves as an associate dean at California College San Diego (CCSD) since 2017. She believes that an educator must have the ability to teach, grow and inspire students to become the best version of themselves. She understands the pressure that many students have while trying to balance their work, studies, and family life. When Debbie is teaching, she ignites her students’ interest with excitement about the field of health sciences. She received the “Educators Make the Difference” certificate from Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) International Honor Society in Education. When she became the associate dean at CCSD, she was able to take an even bigger role in educating and training her students so they can complete the program and pass the national certification board. She takes care of her student concerns by creating a forum and other innovative strategies that supports their needs and the needs of the communities that they would serve. Debbie feels that it is an honor and a blessing to serve the students. Debbie’s leadership style captivates the attention of many people who would support her ideas on how to motivate students to become successful.
