Campus Life: USA is centrally located on the Gulf Coast,
a rapidly growing region of history, culture, recreation, and

South. The beautiful, tree-shaded main campus of the University
spreads across 1,200 acres, with a landscape that includes
cultivated flower gardens, walking paths and groves of pine trees,
more than 10 miles of bike trails, indoor and outdoor pools and
a disc golf course. More than 2,300 students live on campus, and
a variety of social, cultural and recreational opportunities are
available nearly every day of the week.

Unique MAJORS:
USA offers more than 100 different academic programs, including
Broadcast Meteorology, Marine Sciences, Geography, and Earth
Sciences, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Computer
Science and Cybersecurity, and Fine Arts with specializations in
Glass, Ceramics, and Graphic Design.
Cool Factors:
• We’re located in Mobile, home of the first Mardi Gras celebration
in America and a short drive from the Gulf Coast beaches.
• Our beautiful campus has a glassblowing studio, a simulation
lab for health care majors, a disc golf course, nature and fitness
trails, and a 116,000-square-foot Student Recreation Center.
School Accolades:
• USA is home to four of the seven Alabama university students
selected as 2020 Goldwater Scholars, and is one of the select
few institutions in the nation to enroll the maximum number
of four Goldwater Scholars per institution.
• USA recently opened a 39,000-square-foot simulation center
with high-tech equipment and computerized human-like
simulators that will help nursing and health professions
students have real healthcare experience.
• In the fall, USA will open the new Hancock Whitney Stadium,
a 25,000-seat, on-campus venue for football and events. The
stadium, which is a five-minute walk from most residence halls,
includes a state-of-the-art video board and sound system, an
end-zone terrace and hospitality areas for tailgating.
