About: Founded in 1967, Auburn University at Montgomery
is ranked among the South’s top universities by U.S. News and
World Report and top universities in the Southeast by The
Princeton Review. AUM provides students with detailed
knowledge and hands-on, practical experience, often from
professionals in the field.

Academics: AUM’s five colleges offer 34 baccalaureate degrees,
25 master’s degrees, 5 educational specialists degrees, and 2
doctoral programs among the more than 90 fields of study.
Classes are offered days, nights, and weekends, as well as online.
Honors Program: AUM’s University Honors Program
provides a diverse, vibrant intellectual community where
exceptional students prepare for the challenges and responsibilities
of becoming global citizens. Successful applicants typically score
at least 27 on the ACT or 1220 on the SAT and carry a minimum
high school GPA of 3.5.

Campus Life: AUM provides a small-town, “everybody knows
your name” feel with all the history and excitement of Alabama’s
capital city — just hop on the Warhawk Transit shuttle. Students
can play or cheer for our 11 varsity sports teams or join campus
intramurals or the dance team.

Types of Housing: On-campus apartments are available in
AUM’s four new or newly renovated residence halls. Offering
single rooms in an apartment-style high-rise or single and
double rooms in an efficiency apartment.

Clubs: AUM boasts nearly 50 special interest organizations and
curriculum-related clubs, along with 8 honor societies, and 6
religious organizations.

Requirements: 2.3 GPA/18 ACT or 940 SAT (Superscoring)
Bridge Admission: 2.3 GPA / 17 ACT or 900 SAT (Superscoring)

Scholarships and Financial Aid:
AUM’s Opportunity Scholarship requires a minimum ACT
composite score of 18 (950 SAT) and a minimum 2.5 high school
GPA. Freshman scholarships up to $40,000. Transfer scholarships
up to $8,000. AUM also offers a Military and Dependent
Scholarship for U.S. service members in Active Duty, Reserves,
and National Guard and their dependents.

18 (Superscoring)
Scholarship deadline: March 1 for Deichelmann Memorial
and Freshman Leadership scholarships. June 1 for Freshman
Guarantee Scholarships.
