Mr . Haveman has spent his entire teaching career working within Christian schools . ? My faith in God drives every decision I make in my personal life as well as my career ,? he explained . He wanted his faith to be incorporated in every aspect of his life . It is no wonder that he is still with AOA , teaching God-centered curriculum . He says that the Christian Education is part of why his work is so enjoyable .

Mr . Haveman grew up in a physically active family that loved sports . This clearly contributed to him currently working to complete a Master ? s in Sport Leadership . He will complete said master ? s degree this December through Dordt University . He has already completed a degree in Education through this same Christian University .
As a teacher , Mr . Haveman hopes for each student to strive for their best . He said , ? It is important to not be satisfied with ? good enough ? if ? better ? is possible .? He also pointed out , though , that a student ? s job is not to get A ? s . ? A student ? s job is simply to do their best . Nothing more but nothing less ,? he stated .
Mr . Haveman ? s final words of encouragement were that each of us were created perfectly by God exactly as He intended . God never makes a mistake . Know that you are valued and that , as a teacher and a Christian , Mr . Haveman is there for AOA ? s students .
