Atticus of Glen Ellyn saved up his allowance and donated $ 26 to the shelter . His parents were so thrilled that they matched his donation !
Indian Trail Girl Scout Troop 50475 donated $ 400.91 to the shelter .
Six-year-old Kate was given $ 100 to donate to a charity of her choice to help during the COVID shut down . Kate chose WSHS in memory of Charlie , who her family adopted from the shelter before Kate was born .
Nine-year-old Sadie had a lemonade stand and donated the proceeds of $ 15 to the shelter .
The Village Church in LaGrange Park held a pet blessing and collected $ 65 for the shelter .
The Twin Creeks kids held lemonade stands in the summer of 2019 . They raised $ 500.15 and donated it to the shelter .
Emma made dog treat kits and sold them throughout the summer . She donated $ 1 from every kit sold to the shelter for a total of $ 40 .
Lilly turned ten and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her . She donated $ 20 to go toward the care of the animals .
Olivia of Downers Grove turned eleven and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her . She received $ 50 for her birthday and donated $ 20 of her own money for a total of $ 70 .
Dominic and Mario of Willowbrook had a “ Tomato Tuesday ” stand where they sold tomatoes for $ 5 per pound . They sold over 40 pounds of tomatoes raising $ 202 for the shelter !
Girl Scout Troop 55315 donated $ 1,550 from the proceeds of cookie sales .
As part of O ’ Neill Middle School ’ s Raise Craze , James from Downers Grove donated food and dog toys to the shelter .

Thank you for checking in ! Johnny Cash has been such a great companion and he adjusted to his new life quickly . His favorite spots are the top of his cat condo , laying in the sunlight in the window or on my lap ! He also likes to do my work for me by laying on my laptop !
He ’ s such a sweetheart and has gotten a little too comfortable waking me up at 6:00 a . m . He was so good when I took him for his first vet visit . He ’ s healthy and I ’ m watching his weight . He just has a little extra fluff !
