Baker & Bloom’s Science, Technology, Engineering,
and Math (STEM) program addresses the
profound needs for this generation of
learners. Our STEM Director, in her decade-
plus career as a scientist and engineer,
has identified these needs as:

In our dynamic and pioneering STEM classes, students will:
inspirED STEM: Mathematics

• learn math concepts through familiar
activities like Legos, origami, and play-
dough;
• do math drills through interactive exercises
with other students;
• use storytelling to reinforce math concepts;
• practice shortcuts and strategies that can
be applied to various math problems;
• understand the application of math in real-
world situations and current events.
