• learn to carefully and systematically analyze excerpts from a variety of challenging
literary and non-literary texts;
• practice constructing an analytical argument and communicating their ideas in clear
academic prose.
G9-10 IGCSE English
• learn the format of the various IGCSE papers and how to correctly interpret the
requirements;
• analyze prescribed literary and non-literary texts in detail to develop the skills that
apply to these kinds of assessments;
• receive learning support with their school’s chosen texts, taken from the IGCSE
curriculum.
G11-12 AP English
• learn the format of these examinations and acquire their technical terminology and
high-level vocabulary;
• hone their skills in the various reading techniques that allow them to answer the
multiple-choice sections effectively;
• learn how to write the required analytical and persuasive essays in the free-
response sections of these exams.
G11-12 IBDP English
• learn the skills and technical terminology that will allow them to succeed in Paper 1,
Paper 2, and the IOC;
