with Maria Killam mariakillam.com What was the inspiration behind this Holiday look? Moving away from a traditional green and red Holiday palette, I chose these white trees as they reminded me of a white Christmas. Talk to us about the two different looks? The palette in the living room is yellow, gold and Kelly green for a fresh take on a traditional color scheme and the turquoise and royal blue palette in the master bedroom coordinates with the softer, calmer blues found in that room. We love your mantle design. How did you come up with the concept? I picked branches for a more natural garland. I’ve had the wood carved Christmas trees for years, and I simply spray painted them gold. The mercury vase adds glam and balances the white Santa positioned next to it. The gold angel wings remind us that the magic of Christmas is inside all of us! DESIGN SECRET Go classic with white lights as they coordinate with every color scheme. If you are buying a white flocked tree, opt for white corded lights instead of green ones.
