after falling to a national champion and the eventual state champion from Bergen Catholic.
Reaching 100 wins places Cerciello among the most accomplished wrestlers in the program’s recent history and reflects years of dedication and hard work on the mat.
The senior class also featured Charles Henkel at Heavyweight, whose steady presence and commitment to the program helped strengthen the team throughout the season. Henkel consistently stepped onto the mat ready to compete and provided valuable experience and leadership to the younger wrestlers in the lineup, despite starting the season with a hand injury. Reflecting back, he said, "After breaking my thumb, it gave me more motivation to keep pushing through and practice harder. That's what I love about wrestling. It pushes you to go farther than you've ever gone before".
Aiden Keenan showed versatility by wrestling at 157, 160, 165 and 170. His flexibility played an important role for the Falcons. Known for his work ethic and determination, Keenan contributed both in competition and in the practice room, helping push his teammates to improve while representing the program with pride.
Rounding out the senior group was Jake Rigolosi, whose dedication and toughness embodied the spirit of the Lodi–Saddle Brook wrestling program. He wrestled at 126 and 132 Rigolosi’s willingness to battle in tough matches and support his teammates helped create the culture of perseverance that defines the team.
Together, Cerciello, Henkel, Keenan, and Rigolosi formed a senior class that provided leadership, experience, and commitment throughout the season. As they conclude their high school wrestling careers, they leave behind a strong example for the next generation of wrestlers in the Lodi–Saddle Brook program. With younger athletes gaining valuable match experience this season, the foundation remains strong for continued success in the years ahead.
