Perseverance, Progress, and a View Ahead

The Saddle Brook girls basketball team displayed determination and balanced scoring throughout the season, finishing with a 10–13 overall record and a 4–6 mark in the NJIC American Division. While the record presented its challenges, the Falcons remained competitive and consistent on the court. With experienced leadership and promising young players, the team shows signs of progress and potential heading into next season.
Offensively, the team totaled 825 points in the season, with contributions coming from players across multiple grade levels. Junior guard Za'Layah Law led the way with 212 points, consistently providing a strong shooting presence. Most of her work was inside the arc, knocking down 77 two-pointers while adding 25 points from the free-throw line, showcasing her ability to attack the basket and set the tone for the Falcon’s offense.
Close behind was senior sharpshooter Sofia Flores, who finished with 199 points and emerged as a major long range scoring threat. Flores achieved a team-high 36 three-pointers, consistently stretching defenses and providing Saddle Brook with a reliable perimeter presence throughout the season.
One of the Falcon’s brightest spots was freshman Emelia Mudzinski, who delivered an impressive 131 points in her debut season. Mudzinski demonstrated confidence and versatility on the offensive end, scoring 37 two-point baskets while also connecting on 16 three-pointers, highlighting her potential as a key contributor for the program's future.
