A Season of Growth for Boys Basketball
Throughout another year of rebuilding, the Saddle Brook Boys Basketball Team has shown
unwavering commitment and notable improvement compared to previous seasons.
Spearheaded by seasoned starters Cole Mouser, TJ Pappas, Marquette Ricks, and Jack
Artemisio, their leadership has played a crucial role in integrating sophomores Jayden Gatyas
and Nik Vitiello into the varsity lineup. With this core group in place, the team is poised for a
promising season ahead. Additionally, the development of their Freshman and JV squads under
the mentorship of coaches Brenier, VK, and Collier adds further optimism.
Season Recap:
Since kicking off practice in late November, the Saddle Brook boys basketball team, fueled by a determined coaching staff and committed players, has been focused on laying the foundation for a brighter future despite encountering challenges along the way. Notable among their competitive matchups was a standout victory against Wallington High School, showcasing significant progress with a final score of 51-41. Despite the overall season record of 2-18 not reflecting a string of victories, each game was fiercely contested, highlighting the team's resilience and unwavering determination until the final buzzer.
