WRESTLING
RETURNS TO FORM
By The Falcon Flyer Staff
The high school wrestling team has had an incredible season, with an impressive record of 14-11. The team has shown tremendous dedication and skill, working hard both on and off the mat to achieve their goals. Led by Mike Getto, the team has demonstrated exceptional teamwork and discipline throughout the season and qualified for the Group 1 NJSIAA Team Tournament. Each member of the team has contributed to their success, and they have worked together to overcome any challenges they have faced. The seniors, Zaid Ayyad, Franklin Rodriquez, Enzo Russo, Joel Orozco, James Andrade, Amy Vega, Hamza Issa and Andrew Ivanovski led the way and will be missed next season. Franklin Rodriquez and Momen Jbara both reached the semifinals of the District 8 tournament.
The wrestlers trained hard for months, working on their technique, strength, and endurance. They also focused on developing their mental toughness, which has been crucial in their ability to perform under pressure. The team's success has been due to their outstanding performances in both individual matches and tournaments. They have consistently shown their ability to adapt to different opponents and styles, and have remained focused and determined throughout.
In addition to their athletic achievements, the wrestling team has also shown great sportsmanship and respect for their opponents. They have represented the school with pride and class, and have been a shining example of what it means to be a student-athlete. Overall, the high school wrestling team has had a truly remarkable season, and we are proud of their accomplishments. They have worked hard, showed resilience, and exemplified the values of teamwork and sportsmanship. Congratulations to the team on a job well done!
