Were you satisfied with how your first season coaching went?

If not, what would you change?

“Absolutely. I try not to come into any new situation with specific expectations or preconceived notions. I watched a lot of film on the team before I accepted the job and I saw some good things and I saw some things that needed to be improved. Overall, the team did a great job, especially when facing some adversity in the form of illnesses and injuries. My only regret is not having another year or two with our seniors who are graduating.”

What improvement did you see from the players when you first saw them compared to when the season ended?

“Our biggest improvement by far was team chemistry and attitude. The girls really learned how to play together, trust each other, and communicate with one another like true teammates. Now that we have established that we can focus more on skill building for next season.”

What is your favorite thing about the team?

“The players are fun to work with and the team is certainly filled with personality. The girls don’t dwell on bad games or bad practices. They take everything one day at a time and generally show up each day happy and ready to go. If the players continue to work hard in the classroom and represent the team in a positive way, I am extremely happy to continue working with them.”

The team wants to thank Joe for an amazing season and cannot wait to see what the next season has in store for the Falcons!
