DIAMOND MOMENTS
The Saddle Brook Falcons, coached by Garrett Luna, wrapped up their high school baseball season with an overall record of 9-15 and a 3-5 mark in the NJIC Liberty Division. Despite the challenges faced throughout the season, the Falcons displayed perseverance and teamwork, showcasing their potential, and laying a strong foundation for future success.
Coach Luna, in his third year at the helm, emphasized the importance of growth and resilience. This season was about more than just wins and losses. It was about developing as a team and as individuals. The effort and dedication shown by the players, especially the seniors, was truly commendable. One memorable highlight of the season was the team beating Hasbrouck Heights for the first time in over 15 years.
The Falcons were led by a talented group of seniors: TJ Pappas, Alex Gomez, Joel Rodriguez, James Pecoraro, Cole Mouser, Mike Accomondo, Josh Pena, and Matt Mandarino. These seniors played a pivotal role in guiding the team through the season, providing leadership and setting an example for the younger players.
