Spring Training
The Lady Falcons started their season in sunny Orlando, Florida, where they played a total of six games against local, New Jersey, competition. They learned to not only bond on the field, but also off the field as they spent their time together in the Universal Parks and other activities. The trip was an overall success, and helped prepare the team for their first game against Midland Park with experience already under their belt.
Overall Season/Record
This year has been a tremendous learning year for the Lady Falcons, and has helped to familiarize the young team with the game. The Falcons finished 8-17, and 4-4 in their NJIC Liberty league, in which they upset the reigning league champions, Ridgefield. The Lady Falcons qualified for the NJSIAA State Softball Tournament by earning enough power points from their extremely tough schedule.
Coaching Staff
There was a new addition to the Lady Falcons coaching staff this year with the addition of a new assistant coach, JJ Conrad. Coach JJ had his own baseball career at Pace University, where he was a second baseman for the four years that he played. Saddle Brook is his first softball coaching job after previously writing for NJ.com in the athletic department. He has been a great addition to the team through helping the girls with fundamentals and sharing his love for the game!
