Everyone at Saddle Brook High School is amazed by the way our population has adapted and grown during these difficult times brought on by COVID-19. While the end of the year has been challenging for everyone, the staff at Saddle Brook are overwhelmingly proud of our students. The 2020 experience leaves our seniors to say farewell to their high school world at a very strange time. They would usually be gathered together regaled with caps and gowns, being vocally cheered by the audience and by one another. One by one they would ascend onto a stage and be handed a diploma by a respected school administrator, an adult who knows and is proud of their accomplishments both academic and athletic. Congratulations would be repeated to them again and again and their names announced in tune with that remark. A personal acknowledgment in a crowd of many of their peers, community members, and family! However, this year is different! The Class of 2020, is special and perhaps more than graduates who preceded them, and shall follow them. As they move forward they will realize more than any other graduating class the absolute necessity of being adaptable. They will appreciate and understand how invaluable life really is. Graduates, our hope and wish for you is that you are granted decades upon decades of future achievements. We hope you find opportunities to make the world a better place, and make yourselves and others better people. As you bid farewell to Saddle Brook,, think quietly as to what you shall do and will do to improve Bergen county, New Jersey, and our great country for everyone who will follow in the future.
