The Saddle Brook Girls Basketball team had a fantastic season that saw Coach Horonich lead them to the Group 1 State Playoffs and an 18-8 record. This strong team took second to Weehawkin in the NJIC Meadowlands Division and will return the majority of their promising team. As a team, these players put forth a lot of effort to improve their overall physical performance with an emphasis on strengthening their passing game and working together. In addition to the team's success, senior Ashley Georgevich reached the ultimate goal of a high school basketball player by scoring over 1,000 career points this year. This team had many scorers with five different players scoring over 100 points. Ashley Georgevich had 323 points, sophomore Ella Marchesani had 297 points, junior Bianca Ianneillo had 190 points, sophomore Deanna Occipinti had 148 points, and sophomore Gabby Gusciara had 113 points. The large amount of scoring options made the lady falcons a difficult team to face.

Ashley Georgevich will be missed next year, but the team looks forward to seeing her continue her athletic career at Caldwell University in the fall, on a soccer scholarship. Overall, the team was committed, motivated, and ready to play! Each team member demonstrated amazing improvement with every game they played. They worked together in practice, gaining more confidence and honing their skills. They all had a great season, and the girls can honestly say that they developed as players in so many ways! We are all looking forward to seeing how the team continues to progress next year.
