This Season's Progression
Despite the tough circumstances that our team went through, in this Spring Track and Field Season of 2021, it is safe to say that we had a very successful and fun-filled season. All throughout, we were able to prepare ourselves with planned practices made by our amazing coaches. While keeping up our rules of social distancing and safety health precautions, our school was able to attend all Track and Field meets, with every athlete being able to prove themselves or get even better. Our new freshmen, returning sophomores and juniors, and our wonderful seniors, were thankfully able to end their track careers off strong. A special shout out should also be given to our amazing coaches themselves, Mr. Ciccone (Aka: Mr. Clean) for the runners, and Field Coaches Mr. Gulati and Mr. Ciappina, who were able to work with every individual athlete and get many of them to top three placements in the State Sectional Championships.
Stellar Stats
Our boys track and field teams also worked extremely hard to make this one of their best seasons yet. They had an excellent season this year with a season of 6-1 for their league meets and a 2nd place finish overall at the NJIC Meadowlands Division League Championship this year. The girls team was able to finish off strong with a season of 7-1 for their league meets, as well as earning a 3rd place finish overall at the NJIC Meadowlands Division League Championship too. As for the throwing and jumping teams, they also had an excellent season, with many field athletes placing for Sectionals and nine qualifying for States 2021. Everyone was able to take special time out to attend all practices and meets, showing a special dedication at every step of the season, despite the difficulties that came into our lives these past two years.
